Angus Preston – Managing Director of The Hide Safari Camp announces that after more than 8 years with The Hide, Gavin Rennie has decided to spread his wings and further his career with Africa Albida Tourism. Gavin started at The Hide in 2006 having come from a professional cricketing background. Gavin has gained valuable experience with The Hide and he has been a tremendous asset to the business. During his time here he has focused primarily on Sales and Marketing. Naturally we are sad that Gavin is leaving, but we also appreciate that his opportunities with The Hide are limited. Gavin remains a company director and shareholder and he will continue to add value to the business where possible. We wish Gavin all the best in his new career which starts mid-April with Africa Albida Tourism.

At this time, The Hide and Changa Safari Camp are very pleased to welcome Kelly Wood to the team. Kelly will be joining us as Sales and Marketing Manager for both The Hide and Changa Safari Camp.  Kelly has been involved in the industry for 6 years having gained valuable experience working in Thailand, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Kelly was the overwhelming favourite amongst a number of excellent candidates that we interviewed for this position. We believe she is very capable and well suited to take on this responsibility. Kelly will be well supported by an experienced, professional and very dedicated team of people at The Hide and Changa and we look forward to working with her. Kelly will assume many of Gavin’s responsibilities when she joins us at the beginning of March for a handover period with Gavin and the rest of the team.

Prior to the handover Gavin will be travelling to Europe early in March where he will represent The Hide and AAT at ITB, Berlin and Travelista, Italy. The Hide has a longstanding association with Africa Albida Tourism and we will continue to build on this relationship.

Ross Kennedy – CEO of Africa Albida Tourism added that we are extremely pleased to announce that Gavin has chosen this new career path, after such a successful 8 plus years at The Hide.  His experience, reputation and network are respected and well earned, locally, regionally and internationally. Gavin joins us in the newly created role of Head of Sales, in which he will boost our highly regarded and well known sales team, as well as complement the marketing and PR team headed up by Nommy Vuma.

Many of us have had the pleasure of working with Gavin over the last 8 years in the industry, and this decision to increase our sales resources is part of our wider strategy to grow the business and to grow market share.
