South African Airways (SAA), the leading carrier on the African continent, and its feeder partner airline, Airlink, have entered into a joint commercial venture which, as a first ever, will offer scheduled air services at Tshwane City’s Wonderboom Airport.

Effective 16 August, the service will operate between Wonderboom and Cape Town, a key domestic route for the carriers. The convenient, direct flights will service both the leisure and business travellers. For business class travellers, Airlink will offer an intra-continental style business class service on its 83-seater Avro RJ85 quad jet aircraft which will be used to operate the route.

Flights will depart from Wonderboom for Cape Town at 06:45 in the morning with a second morning flight at 09:45, then in the afternoon, departing Wonderboom at 17:45. Flights from Cape Town to Wonderboom depart at 06:45, with afternoon flights at 15:00 and 17:30.

Travellers on the new service will be able to earn Voyager Frequent Flyer loyalty miles.
