As we reported earlier, ARP Travel Group has partnered with the innovative App “Herdtracker”, to provide accurate daily location of the wildebeest migration.  This unique app has been hailed as one of the top innovations in the safari industry.  Ranger Safaris, Pollmans Tours & Safaris and Serengeti Explorer Camp have all been certified as official information suppliers, along with the official ground-handling and accommodation partner to Herdtracker.

 With this in mind, ARP Travel Group has partnered with Herdtracker to prepare and sell to our agents a number of migration-focused safaris. These safaris will entail 8 nights within the Serengeti National Park in 2 or 3 locations, following the wildebeest herds.  Safari groups will be limited to a maximum of 12 clients per departure, accompanied by specialist driver guides, who have an in-depth knowledge of the migration, Serengeti National Park and photography.

The creator and founder of the Herdtracker, Carel Verhoef, himself a Professional Guide and photographer, will be leading each of the three safaris in 2015 and the eight tours in 2016.  Carel has more than 10 years’  experience as a safari guide and is very passionate about photography. At present, he is helping high-profile filming and documentary companies to find the migration and has created HerdTracker to help locate the right place at the right time for viewing this one-of-a-kind migration. In addition to the wonderful accommodations, clients will also be able to take advantage of Carel’s photography expertise as he guides them through the safari. This presents a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see the migration with a world-renowned guide.
