In line with &Beyond’s position as a world-class, luxury, experiential travel company and its commitment to offering guests the best possible Safari Lodge experience, the much-loved &Beyond Ngala Safari Lodge will undergo a full refurbishment. A $2 million rebuild and extensive renovation of the lodge commences on 15 January 2016 and the Lodge will be open to guests again as of 15 June 2016.

Lodge suites and bathrooms will be extended to offer a more spacious room layout, and new floor-to-ceiling glass windows will let in more natural light, enhancing the spacious feel of the rooms. Private dinners can be enjoyed right on guests’ doorsteps, as the private verandas will be extended and pathways to the suites re-configured to offer greater privacy.

To make sure that guests can truly unwind on their African safari, a re-styled pool area, which includes a new swimming pool, as well as a spa and fitness sala,  will be installed.

As work is contained in very specific areas, we will be accepting bookings for the Ngala Family Suite at a reduced rate of R20 000, per night. The Family Suite is situated separately from the rest of the lodge, with its own private view and enclosed swimming pool.    This means the hustle and bustle of the renovations will have minimal impact. Here, guests will also be able to take advantage of a private chef (for exceptional in-room dining), a personal butler, ranger and the sole-use of a 4×4 safari vehicle, allowing for an exclusive &Beyond Ngala Safari lodge experience.

In the course of the lodge upgrade, artists’ impressions of the new &Beyond Ngala Safari Lodge and progress updates will be shared regularly.
