Tucson, AZ –  South African Airways Vacations, in co-operation with Cape Ardor (the U.S.’s largest online retailer of South African wine), has just launched the Cape Ardor Wine and Culinary Tour of South Africa.  This air-inclusive, 13-day culinary journey explores South Africa’s top wine cellars and eateries en route from Cape Town to the Winelands and concludes with a safari experience in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.  Travellers will enjoy not only some of the best wines of South Africa, but also dinners at many of the world-renowned restaurants of the Western Cape.

The tour starts off at Cape Town’s Table Bay Hotel, located in the heart of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront District and includes private tours around Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula.  One of the highlights  in Cape Town is dinner at the Myoga Resturant, with wine pairings with Cape Wine Master, Alan Mullins.

The tour continues to the Cape Winelands, presenting several private backstage wine tours by wine experts and winemakers such as Mark Solms of Solms Delta and Susan Erasmus of the Vrede en Lust wine estates.  The culmination of the “ultimate food and wine experience” is dinner at Le Quartier Francais Hotel’s restaurant, The Tasting Room, which is ranked as the 42nd best restaurant in the world.  The tour unwinds with a luxurious Big-5 safari experience in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and accommodation at the five-star Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge.

An optional Victoria Falls Extension gives travellers wishing to extend their stay the opportunity to do so.
