2017 will see the opening of Africa’s most significant museum in over one hundred years. The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCCAA) will open its doors to the world on 25 September 2017.
The unique partnership between the V&A Waterfront and Jochen Zeitz will create a new cultural institution focusing on collecting, preserving and exhibiting cutting edge contemporary art from Africa.

A museum of this magnitude needs an equally impressive home. The historic landmark of the Grain Silo complex will be transformed and house this not-for-profit venture. Built in 1921 and at 57 meters tall, the Grain Silo remains an icon of the Cape Town skyline.

Access for all- No one will be turned away! Zeitz MOCCA will honor an access for all campaign which ensures that everyone is welcome. Access for all will ensure that the museum has free entry days every week.
