This March Mont Rochelle Hotel & Mountain Vineyard invites budding vintners to experience the rich winemaking traditions that go into every drop we serve; from picking the fruits fresh from the vine to our favourite part, wine tasting!
The day begins at our on-site restaurant, Country Kitchen, for a light breakfast before being chauffeured – winemaker-style – on a tractor ride into the heart of the vineyard. Here guests get to pick, stomp and blend the grapes before learning how we store them in our historic wine cellar. After all that hard work, it’s time to relax and sample the fruits of our labour with a wine tasting and lunch. Mont Rochelle’s Harvest takes place on Saturday 10th March 2018 and tickets are priced at ZAR 750 per person.

March is one of the warmest months in South Africa, so it’s the perfect time to head outdoors and explore the local area. Guests can walk or hike up the mountains, or simply take in the views whilst enjoying a picnic or sunbathing by the pool. For those looking to take some time out for rest and relaxation our spa is ready and waiting to offer a little pampering. Those who can’t get enough of drinking the wine will love our signature grape stem cell facial which uses grapes from the harvest to make you feel fresh and young.

Rates start from ZAR 6,600 per room, per night based on two adults sharing a Shiraz Room. For larger groups the Manor House captures that ‘home away from home’ feel whilst allowing guests to indulge in all the luxury of a hotel stay. Groups of up to 8 people will be welcomed to kick back and relax while the dedicated team take care of the rest. Manor House is available for exclusive stays of 2 nights or more throughout the year and rates start from ZAR 91,260 per night based on 8 adults sharing.
