Ngamba also has a beach where visitors can swim, kayak, or play beach volleyball. Full day or half day, morning or afternoon trips available.

Mabamba Bay Birding Excursion

Along the shore of Lake Victoria, this designated Important Bird Area (IBA) under the Ramsar Convention offer protections to around 190,000 feathered friends including the globally threatened shoebill stork (Balaeniceps rex). The Mabamba wetland system also hosts approximately 38% of the global population of the Blue Swallow (Hirundo atrocaerulea), as well as the globally-threatened Papyrus Yellow Warbler. This half-day excursion is always led by a highly knowledgeable birding guide and includes a canoe trip that enables even closer contact and better photo ops with the marsh-dwelling birds.

Presently the reserve is home to 19 southern white rhinos and has become increasingly popular for rhinos and has become increasingly popular for rhino trekking, bird watching and nature walks. About a three-hour drive from Kampala/Entebbe, the sanctuary includes many other creatures including the Uganda kob, reed buck, oribi, hippo, crocodile and lots of birds. This trip includes lunch at Amuka Lodge.

However, our city tours are not limited to these areas and can be customized to include areas that are of special interest to guests.
