Tintswalo at Lapalala Wilderness has opened in the Waterberg region, Limpopo. It is one of only two commercial lodges within the 44 500-hectare Lapalala Wilderness Reserve.

The family-friendly lodge comprises seven luxury tented suites with private plunge pools, en-suite bathrooms and outdoor baths and showers, and includes a two-bedroom family suite. The lodge accommodates a total of 16 adults and four children.

The lodge is operated off the grid and rates include all meals and house drinks, two safari activities per day, WiFi and laundry, as well as a children’s activity programme.

Activities include daily game drives, guided bush walks, fishing, sundowner cruises, riverside picnics and excursions to wildlife breeding programmes and the community-based Lapalala Wilderness School, as well to an Iron Age site to view rock art. Guests can also try a sleep-out experience on a furnished, raised wooden deck.
