WTM Africa 2019 opened yesterday on a high note with thousands of travel professionals visiting from across the globe to attend the leading event for the travel industry in Africa.

Important discussions underscored the role of women in the tourism sector at the Women in travel Meetup, while Business Events Conference powered by IBTM Africa explored the potential of the meetings sector in Africa. The Press Conference and Official Opening of WTM Africa 2019 outlined what can be expected of this years show and the Responsoble Tourism Awards was held at 16:45 crowning the new winners.

The second day of WTM Africa 2019 promises another full day for attendees, including the Sports & Events Tourism Exchange (SETE) and the ever-popular Speed Networking event.
