Uganda Wildlife Authority have revised their tariff to introduce new products, new rates for some products, new fines as well as clarification on some UWA products and services.

From 1st July 2020:

  • Gorilla Permit fee will be $600 for Foreign Residents (FR) and $700 Foreign Non-Residents (FNR) — this is an increase of $100
  • Gorilla habituation permit will be $1500 (remains the same) both Foreign Residents (FR) and Foreign Non-Residents (FNR)
  • Chimpanzee tracking permit will be $150 for Foreign Residents (FR) and $200 for Foreign Non-Residents (FNR)  — this is an increase of $50
  • Chimpanzee habituation permit will be $250 both Foreign Residents (FR) and Foreign Non-Residents (FNR) — this is an increase of $50

What does this mean?

For all Gorilla and Chimpanzee tracking and habituation permits between today and 30th June 2020, guests will continue to pay $600, $150 and $200 respectively and the new increased rates will only be effective for all bookings starting 1st July 2020 on wards- even where a deposit has already been made.
