One Horizon is delighted to announce that its Women’s Centers in Kenya are opening up after being closed for 8 months.  In Kenya, as in the rest of the world, COVID has had a devastating effect on employment.  And women in Kenya have borne the brunt of job loses particularly those who try to make ends meet based on part time, domestic work.   53% of all employees in Kenya are women.   And One Horizon has felt the sting of the economic downturn and had to temporarily close its women’s centers.    But the light on our horizon is starting to burn a little bit brighter and in the last two weeks we have been able to open one center with the rest to follow in a staged process.
