Virgin Atlantic has once again extended the cancellation of all flights on its South African routes (Johannesburg-London and Cape Town-London).

The previous no-fly was set to end March 9, but flights are now cancelled for an additional week, with a new ban from March 10-16. The carrier said in a notice to agents that because of limited operations to these destinations, there would be no reprotection option available, and the sectors would appear as UN in GDSs. The affected flights, from March 10-16 were updated in GDSs on February 27, according to Virgin.

The airline was obliged to cancel its SA flights when the UK lockdown began and ceased flying to SA from December 23, 2020.
