The Uganda Wildlife Authority has launched an online payment platform option for guests visiting any of the country’s national parks.

The UWA ePayments portal, which replaces the old ‘Wildlife Card’ system established in 2017, accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Guests can visit the website and create a personal profile. After a transaction, a receipt is sent as proof of payment.

Guests should present this receipt when entering any national park in Uganda. Online payments can also be made in advance for any of the parks’ facilities or activities, such as birdwatching, boat cruises, ferry rides, nature walks, etc.

The national parks listed on the website are Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Impenetrable, Mgahinga Gorilla, Kidepo Valley, Mt. Elgon, Rwenzori Mountains, Lake Mburo, Semuliki, Kibale, Toro-Semliki, Katonga, Pian-Upe, Matheniko-Bora, Ajai Wildlife Reserve, and East Madi Reserve.
