Effective October 27, 2021, all arriving passengers to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda must undergo PCR testing for COVID-19.
The Ministry of Health recently set up government-run testing labs at the airport with a capacity of processing 7,200 samples within 24 hours.
Turnaround time for the PCR test results is expected to be within 2-3 hours. The cost of testing has been reduced from $65 USD to $30 USD. Children below the age of 6 years are exempt from this requirement.
All passengers are still required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 from the time of boarding for both arrival to and departure from Uganda.
These requirements apply regardless of country of origin or vaccination status.
