With effect from last Friday, March 4, travellers who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may now travel into Zimbabwe across all land borders.

Zimbabwe press report that the government has now put in place the necessary legal instruments in line with the latest Cabinet decision on the matter (taken two weeks ago) following the gazetting of the new regulations by the Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Kazembe Kazembe.

The opening was allowed due to a continued decline in new cases and deaths coupled with a declining test positivity rate, indicating that the community transmission had dropped.

All persons entering Zimbabwe must have undergone a valid COVID-19 PCR test, no more than 48 hours from departure for Zimbabwe.
