New exclusive-use Amber Villa has recently launched at Earth Lodge in the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve within South Africa’s Greater Kruger National Park region.

Responding to a growing call from families to enjoy staying in one space, the Amber Suite has been transformed into a private villa at the edge of the lodge in the heart of the bushveld.

One of the largest in the Sabi Sabi collection, the 240sqm villa with two bedrooms and two bathrooms is ideal for families and friends, accommodating four guests, with a fifth able to be hosted on request.

The unveiling of the Amber Villa marks the final phase of the renovation of the Earth Lodge suites. Sabi Sabi has partnered with Dakota Designs to curate the look and feel of the luxury villa.

The living area, designed with relaxation top of mind, boasts plump sofas and day beds, decorative pieces, and a fully stocked bar. A timber desk and swivel chair provide a space to work if needed. The daybed in the lounge may be converted into an additional single bed, accommodating more family members.

Large windows and doors light up the room to encourage free movement out to the terrace lounge. Here, timber fans rotate above oversized couches and leather hanging sling chairs for a shaded retreat. There is also a plunge pool where guests can view wildlife.

The main bedroom suite has an original carved Matumi headboard. A lounge nook and dressing table sit adjacent to the dressing room, which leads to a small, private fitness area with a treadmill, light weights and spinning bike.

The master en-suite offers a luxurious freestanding bath, also situated to capture views of nature, as well as a double shower.

The second bedroom with twin beds accommodates two people and includes a dressing and vanity area, as well as direct access to the outdoor lounge. It also has an en-suite bathroom.

All the facilities of Earth Lodge can be enjoyed by Amber Villa guests, including the main lodge with a bar, lounge with a shallow pool for dining, a boma for evening meals under the stars, and the Amani spa.

Guests staying in the Amber Villa are provided with a private game vehicle, knowledgeable ranger, and experienced tracker. This allows for safari adventures to be tailored to their preferences and interests.
