DELRAY BEACH, Florida – Today, African Travel, Inc. announced the appointment of Sherwin Banda as President, effective August 2015. African Travel, Inc.’s current President, Jim Holden, who had previously announced his plans to resign, effective in July, said “I’ve truly enjoyed my time at African Travel, Inc. and I wish the team my very best.. I am confident that the company will be in great hands under Sherwin’s new leadership.”
Banda, who was born and raised in Cape Town, has spent nearly 15 years in the international hospitality industry, holding positions in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Southern California. In his current position as General Manager of The Table Bay Hotel, Banda’s strategic leadership has resulted in a 60% growth of revenue in Cape Town’s highly-competitive hospitality industry.
