Hilton Worldwide will be opening its first property in Botswana next year.  Its upscale-yet-affordable Hilton Garden Inn property will be the first in a series of the company ‘s new hotels to make its debut over the next several years.

The 150-room hotel will be located in the capital, Gaborone, a short ride from Sir Seretse Khama International Airport. Hilton sees Africa as a key region for growth.   The new hotel is part of Hilton’s broader plan to expand its presence in all the major cities in sub-Saharan Africa.  “We’re working our way up the map,” Cooper said. Hilton currently operates 38 hotels in Africa and 38 more are in the pipeline.
