The exotic volcanic archipelago on the northwest coast of Africa, the Cape Verde Islands, has experienced a significant tourism boost.
According to the National Statistics Institute in Cape Verde, foreign visits to the archipelago increased by 13.6% during last year, the islands of Sal and Boa Vista being especially popular tourist spots.
This breathtaking island chain offers an intriguing combination of mountains, beaches and peaceful seaside villages. The climate is warm, with sunny skies year-round and temperatures varying between the mid-70’s in January and mid-80’s in September.
