In a letter to the Association of Uganda Tour Operators,  the Uganda Wildlife Authority has made it clear   that Uganda’s gorilla-tracking permit fees will not be raised as previously rumoured..

Sources close to UWA have also confirmed a significant increase in advance sales for gorilla permits, which are now already open for up to mid 2019.  
This raises hope for the country’s tourism industry that,  as foreign tourists take advantage of Uganda’s price stability,  visitor numbers will rise.
