With its amazing reduced rates for international guests held for the rest of the year, Nkwichi Lodge’s latest newsletter has an overview of what to expect on Lake Malawi over the next few months, plus a run-down of the various activities available at the lodge and across the Manda Wilderness Reserve.

For the remainder of 2018, Nkwichi Lodge have extended their International Guest Special, which allows all international guests to pay African Resident Rates, which are significantly cheaper on average compared to the full international rate.

The coming months mark some the hottest time of the year as we enter the green season. Lake Malawi is an oasis of freshness and presents a whole array of exciting activities. Guests can paddle and play in pristine fresh water, snorkel safari through a world of brilliantly-coloured tropical fish, and canoe along the magical Rift Valley shoreline. And to end the day, watch the world go by on a sunset dhow cruise.

The Manda Wilderness offers some incredible on-land activities too. From panoramic vistas to idyllic waterfalls and soaring Baobab trees. Nkwichi’s local guides will assist guests along the rugged coastline, as they take one of Africa’s oldest paths to a 2000-year-old Baobab Tree which makes the perfect picnic spot. There’s plenty other things to do too including tracking game through pristine woodland, visiting villages and local communities, and attending cultural events such as the Mander Wilderness Dug-out Canoe Race, and Gospel Choir Festival.
