The Capital 15 on Orange in Cape Town has opened its doors to families, business travellers and long-stay guests after a R20 million (€1.2m) refurbishment and upgrade project.
The latest property to join The Capital Hotels and Apartments portfolio, the hotel’s 129 newly converted one- and two-bedroom apartments, up to 120 sqm in size, offer separate living rooms and dining areas, all fully equipped.
“A hotel of this stature and location simply has to offer so much more than state-of-the-art accommodation – it needs to offer a complete hospitality and entertainment experience,” says Marc Wachsberger, MD of The Capital Hotels and Apartments. “That’s why our rejuvenation of this exceptional property included a focus on upgrading the dining and entertainment offerings, as well as making a significant investment in its conferencing and banqueting options.”
Under the watchful eye of Chef Gerard van Staden, The Emerald Lounge Restaurant and Bar offers an all-day global menu well as 24-hour in-room dining.
Other offerings include the O Bar, a spa, café, fitness centre, and pool and deck.
As with all hotels in The Capital Hotels and Apartments portfolio, The Capital 15 on Orange offers complimentary laundry and high-speed uncapped WiFi. It also offers complimentary shuttles to nearby attractions like the V&A Waterfront.
“This hotel leads the group’s 2021 investments, with The Capital Zimbali and The Capital Mbombela set to open to guests in November,” said Wachsberger. “Demand for our unique apartment-style accommodation at The Capital Mirage in Cape Town was such that it made solid business sense for us to expand in the city.”
