Another adventure tour operator is joining the South African market, with LEETO Nomads, a self-described outdoor lifestyle experience hosting and trade marketing services agency, announcing its official launch this past weekend.
Tourism Update caught up with the founder, Lehlohonolo Pitso, who has 22 years’ experience in the tourism industry – including heading the South African Tourism Regional Marketing offices in West Africa, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
Offering comfortable sky glamping – a comfortable, more luxurious alternative to traditional camping, elevated above the ground – alongside adventure road trips, the LEETO Jeep Fleet has been modified with secure rooftop tents kitted with three different types of curtains so guests can adjust their level of privacy on the go.
Behind every chauffeur-driven Jeep is a trailer that carries food, luggage, a fold-out workspace for travellers looking to ‘workcation’, and a geyser. Using hot water from the geyser, guests can use the Jeep’s portable shower system for an outdoor shower in nature.
Beyond hosting management, LEETO Nomads offers itinerary planning, trade marketing, and accommodation sourcing, as well as different outdoor dining options with a personal chef. Specialities include wildlife and village experiences and premium boating and jet ski excursions for groups of 10-20 guests.
LEETO Nomads’ upcoming ‘Sky Camping & Boating Escapes’ package will be available to all domestic and SADC markets early next year at an all-inclusive cost of R5 995pp (€350). Travelling from Friday to Sunday, guests will visit small towns and dams and take part in water and off-road activities in Harties, Magoebaskloof and Clarens.
