Evolve Back Gham Dhao Lodge, on the northern boundary of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana, has recently upgraded and renovated a number of its facilities.
The lodge’s airstrip is now compliant with the latest safety landing norms and is licensed for a maximum landing weight of 5 700kg. Visitors can bring their own aircraft or use accredited tour operators or air charters.
The lodge’s tents – five Luxury, three Superior, and one Family – have undergone improvements that include upgrading of soft furnishings and installation of international standard plug points and USB cable points for better charging and connectivity. The lodge can accommodate a maximum of twenty guests.
The 4×4 safari vehicles have been given comfortable seats, camera stands and plug points for charging electronic devices during game drives. Visitors can also walk in the bush with San people who offer an authentic and traditional experience.
Facilities include a swimming pool with a deck, boma area, bar and a gym with an outdoor shower.
The Main Lodge area now has Wi-Fi connectivity.
The lodge – which runs on solar power – has upgraded its generation capacity from 6 KW to 40 KW and part of the property has been given solar-powered electric fencing.
