The Association for the Promotion of Tourism to Africa (APTA), the largest and longest operating travel trade organization for African specialists in North America, is extending the early registration date for its Global Forum through April 15, 2023. The APTA Global Forum will be held in Cape Town, South Africa September 26-30, 2023 and the theme is, “Africa: Where It Begins,” appropriately representing the first time this event has been hosted on the African continent.
The extension of the early registration deadline will allow delegates that are attending the APTA Global Forum to plan pre & post educational trips through the expanded group of participating APTA tourism partners offering special familiarization rates. The APTA Global Forum is estimated to bring together 100-125 APTA members for two-days of networking and educational sessions on the latest products, services and tourism trends in Africa. The elegant Table Bay Hotel, conveniently located in the heart of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, will serve as the host hotel for the Global Forum. APTA is inviting its members, along with other travel advisors in North America that are interested
in joining APTA, to learn about selling Africa to profitably develop their clientele and business to the continent.
Early registration for the APTA Global Forum for APTA active and corporate members is USD $200.00 through April 15, 2023. APTA is inviting travel advisors in North America that are non-APTA members to join the Global Forum for USD $250.00, which includes a one-year membership to APTA. After April 15, 2023, registration is $300.00 for APTA members and $350.00 for non-APTA members. Registration includes two days of educational sessions, one-on on meetings with tourism suppliers, hosted meals and network receptions. Special rates are offered for accommodations at The Table Bay Hotel and airfare discounts offered by United Airlines and Delta Air Lines for travel to/from Cape Town and Johannesburg, and South African Airways for domestic South Africa and regional Africa markets. Optional sightseeing tours in Cape Town and throughout the Western Cape are also available for attendees.
