At Waybird our mission is to empower independent travel specialists to build their own travel brands.
Waybird is a new age, tech-driven host agency which focuses on planning travel to remote and specialist destinations such as Africa, Latin America and Asia.
Our platform allows travel specialists to quickly and easily showcase trip ideas, build interactive quotes, accept payments and manage the booking process from the start to finish in an efficient and affordable way.
Your role will include:

Sales/business development – helping us spread the word about Waybird.

Targeting independent travel specialists, leaving and starting up on their own, and small tour operators that either specialise in Africa, Latin America and Asia or where these destinations are a key markets.

Webinars across multiple platforms to help promote the brand.

Keep membership platforms up to date with Waybird news eg. ATTA, APTA, Africa Hub.

Marketing – helping with some of our marketing materials for travel specialists eg. newsletters, how to guides, social media, outreach emails.

Product/strategy – helping to drive the business forward and to be part of the core team.

Planning discussions of how we scale the business and refine the product.

Helping to shape the Waybird brand and create the best multi-destination platform to use to book travel.
Who you might be:

You have at least 2 years experience in the travel industry.

You understand the sales process, and the psychology of sales.

You have the capacity to embrace change as we pioneer the new way to plan and book multi-destination trips.
-
You are passionate about working with people and customer service.
-
You have the ability to think quickly on your feet, calmly defusing problems as they arise.
