African Vision launch Pedal Power cycling tour of Malawi
African Vision Malawi, a UK charity that support Malawians to become self-sufficient by providing vocational and life skills training, are running a cycling tour of Central and Southern Malawi, exploring beautiful landscapes and discovering the charity’s programmes along the route.
The ‘Pedal Power’ tour will take place from Friday 10th until Tuesday 21st May 2024.
Joining this tour not only provides you with an exhilarating experience in Malawi but your participation with directly support the most marginalised people in Malawi and give them a hand up out of poverty.
This experience of a lifetime will combine 6 cycle days and multiple off-days with one on safari in which you will get the chance to witness lions, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, zebra, hippos and birds in one of Malawi’s most iconic wildlife reserves, Liwonde National Park. An other rest day will be spent at the stunning Kumbali Lake Retreat, located by the beautiful Lake Malawi where you can feed the fish eagles. You will also visit cave paintings aas you visit Dedza, the highest town in Malawi, followed by a cycle down an incredible 31km escarpment, stopping at a waterfall. As the tour comes to an end, a celebration meal with cultural entertainment and the chance to visit some of African Vision’s programmes will conclude a life-affirming moment for you in Malawi.
This tour costs £1,650 per person is all inclusive for the cycle ride (accommodation, food, transport, cycle hire, safari, cave paintings visit) but doesn’t include flights, insurance, vaccinations or visas. African Vision ask that you to raise at least £1000 which will go towards their projects.
