Southern Cross Safaris is pleased to announce that the Mara North Conservancy has relaxed its rules & rates regarding drive-in vehicles from tour operators. Besides the usual fly-in packages for guests staying at Karen Blixen Camp, Kicheche Camp, Serian Camp, Elephant Pepper Camp, Royal Mara & Mara Exploreans, operators can now offer drive-in itineraries while their guides and vehicles stay at these camps and utilize their approved four wheel drive vehicles for game viewing in this famed conservancy, and Southern Cross Safaris has a fleet of over 30 customized 4WD Safari Land cruisers to bring your guests to this remarkable part of the world.
Mara North Conservancy is a beautiful private wilderness area of more than 30,000 hectares (~74,000 acres). It is a vital part of the Masai Mara ecosystem as it forms the north-western zone, bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve in the south of Kenya. Professional wildlife and tourism management ensures guests of a truly exclusive and private safari experience with a very low vehicle density. The conservancy is justifiably proud of its accomplishments in habitat protection and wilderness management in conjunction with the local Masai, resulting in a very high density of big cat predators, huge grazing herds, elephant and fantastic savannah panoramas.
