African Sun and Legacy Hospitality have signed an agreement to co-operate in the development of Tourism in Zimbabwe. The agreement provides for the management, refurbishment and expansion of 5 of African Sun’s strategic assets. The Kingdom at Victoria Falls, Elephant Hills Resort, Hwange Safari Lodge, The Monomotapa Hotel and Troutbeck, with expansion projected for Caribbea Bay and Fothergill Island. Refurbishments at the Victoria Falls properties are already under way .
As the addition of Elephant Hills Resort and The Kingdom at Victoria Falls to the KAI Collection unfortunately creates a conflict with our representation of Victoria Falls Safari Lodge (part of Africa Albida Tourism AAT), KAI will no longer be marketing AAT (Victoria Falls Safari Lodge & Ngoma Safari Lodge) in North America) as from April 01st. This is certainly sad news for our team, as we have enjoyed 18 great years working closely with the team at AAT and wish them much success in the years to come. The long relationship with Victoria Falls Safari Lodge & AAT is only eclipsed by the 20+ years we have been working with Legacy Hotels & Resorts.
Ross Kennedy, CEO of Africa Albida Tourism states, “We at Africa Albida Tourism have enjoyed a wonderfully successful and professional relationship with KAI over the last 18 years. They have grown our USA and Canada market share significantly and established our products firmly in that North American market. We are sad to bid them farewell, but sometimes circumstances dictate such decisions. As we move on to a new era, we are pleased to announce that a smooth and efficient transition will take place, with the appointment of Kathryn Monaco as our new Representative in USA and Canada”. (psckmonaco@aol.com, 800-323-3210) “Henry, David and KAI team will liaise with Kathryn and our team in Zimbabwe, to ensure as seamless a handover as possible.”
