Gondwana Collection Namibia, an eco-conscious property group, has announced the launch of the Reverie Kalahari Pod – an exclusive retreat set amid the Kalahari dunes. Situated 30km northeast of Mariental, the facility officially opened on December 1 as part of the Gondwana Secret Collection.
The retreat offers private, luxury accommodation for two, designed to integrate with the surrounding environment. Key features include:
- A plunge pool overlooking a private waterhole.
- Activities exploring the Kalahari dunes.
- Private dining experiences tailored for guests.
- Facilities such as unlimited Wi-Fi and mobile connectivity.The Reverie Kalahari Pod comprises a luxury suite with an en-suite bedroom, an open-plan kitchen as well as dining and lounge areas. The property accommodates a maximum of two people and children under 14 are not permitted.
Drawing on the traditions of the Khoi San people, the pod prioritises sustainability while delivering a high-end experience. Rates start at NAD27 500 (€1 444) per night for two guests, inclusive of meals, drinks and activities.
Gys Joubert, Managing Director of Gondwana Collection Namibia, emphasised the importance of the project as part of Gondwana’s broader vision. “The Reverie is a step towards our goal of creating a circuit of exclusive retreats across Namibia, combining solitude and luxury within iconic natural settings.”
The launch of the Reverie will be followed by the Ekipa Etosha Pod, scheduled to open in February 2025, further expanding Gondwana’s Secret Collection.
