Delta Air Lines is making a bold statement in West Africa with the unveiling of a new premium lounge at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) and the upcoming deployment of its most advanced aircraft, enhancing transatlantic travel for Nigerian passengers.
The premium lounge—opened July 1—features Nigerian-inspired design, high-speed Wi-Fi, private relaxation spaces, and curated refreshments. It’s tailored for Delta One customers and VIP travelers, including key oil and gas industry clientele. It marks a major investment in premium service on the ground and reflects Delta’s deepening commitment to the Nigerian market.
Big news in the skies, too: This October, Delta will begin operating its flagship Airbus A350-900 on the Lagos–Atlanta route, offering more space, quieter cabins, lie-flat Delta One Suites with sliding doors, and upgraded Delta Premium Select seating. Over the busy holiday period, the A330-900neo will serve the Lagos–New York route from Dec. 2 to Jan. 16, offering a quieter, smoother ride and 35% more seat capacity than previous aircraft.
And it’s not just about aircraft—Delta is redefining comfort with Missoni-designed bedding, upgraded amenity kits, and Delta Sync Wi-Fi, now fast and free on all transatlantic routes.
As Delta approaches 20 years of service to Lagos, these upgrades show a clear intent: connecting Nigeria to the world with style, comfort, and reliability. For APTA members selling West Africa, this development is a powerful new selling point.
