I wanted to thank you again for your support with our SADC UNIVISA survey last year. As you may have heard, the pilot UNIVISA for Zambia and Zimbabwe was launched last month and now is fully operational at 8 key border posts in the two countries. From what I have heard on the ground, there has been strong demand for the visa and the program is operating quite fluidly.
I am taking the opportunity to enclose the report summarizing the findings of the survey we conducted. The input from tour operators was highly valued by the respective governments and played an important role in shaping the initiative.
I am also enclosing a PDF copy of a flier we developed to help promote the pilot UNIVISA. It contains the pertinent details of the visa program. Please feel free to forward the report and or flier to your members.
Once again, many thanks for your efforts to help bring this important initiative to fruition. We hope that later in the year we will be able to embark upon an extension of the pilot to other countries in the region.
