Cultural highlights in the cities of Aswan and Luxor have had their opening hours extended after the Egyptian ministry of tourism completed a lighting project.
The scheme is designed to boost cultural tourism to sites in the Valley of the Kings and Queens.
The ministry of antiquities has agreed to open areas such as, Hatshepsut Temple, the Ramesseum and Luxor Temple, from 6am to 11pm during the summer season and from 6am to 9pm during winter.
