The Table Mountain Cableway will be shutting down from Monday 27 July to Sunday 9 August, 2016, for its annual maintenance. This year, maintenance will include servicing the generators, sewage and water pumps and more. Besides this, something of a makeover will be undertaken: The cable cars will be re-branded in shiny new creative artwork and have their heel ropes cleaned. The former Summit Lounge will also be transformed into a superb Wi-Fi Lounge.
