Air Madagascar has announced the resumption of flights between Antananarivo and Johannesburg, effective June 17.
The airline previously flew to South Africa’s main industrial and commercial center but halted flights in 2015 when continued operations stood on a knife’s edge at the time.
The planned flight will be operated with a Boeing B737-800NG aircraft serving the route initially twice a week. From Antananarivo connecting flights across the island will be available linking to such destinations like Nose Bay.
The airline has greatly improved since joining a partnership with Reunion-based Air Austral.
