This past week, APTA has learned of the passing of one of our own, Valerie Sewell. A member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter and also the APTA Executive Board, Val played a key role in APTA’s success over the past 7+ years and was personally responsible for organizing the annual APTA Forum as well as APTA’s presence at the New York Times Travel Show, among other events. She was an amazing woman who loved Africa, fly-fishing and of course, selling travel to her many clients. Val was known for her sunny disposition and never saying “no” to anything that was asked of her. All that knew her, loved her. Her loss will be strongly felt by all APTA members and the travel industry as a whole.
