The Elewana Collection is refurbishing and upgrading several of its properties, with renovations scheduled for completion by July.

At Serengeti Migration Camp, a new rooftop bar and organic design materials will create a contemporary African aesthetic. At the same time, the dining room, bedrooms, and pool area will receive upgrades and refurbishments.

At Serengeti Pioneer Camp, a real safari feel will be maintained with a refreshed lounge featuring repurposed and new furnishings, an extended dining area, and an upgraded swimming pool. The guests’ rooms will also be updated with new carpets, rugs, and animal prints.

Kilindi Zanzibar will combine Greek coastal and Swahili elegance, with white-washed Swahili furniture, Greek rattan lighting, and new private dining experiences. A new beach bar with white concrete floors and simple sisal pole furniture will provide guests a relaxing space to enjoy local cocktails.

Sand River Maasai Mara will feature a new fire pit area surrounded by antique safari chairs, and the bedrooms will receive a light touch upgrade with new bed linens, pillows, and mosquito nets. The dining area, bar, and café will also receive upgrades and refurbishments.

Elephant Pepper Camp is set to feature a new entrance, bar, and lounge space, along with minimal upgrades to the bedrooms. The redesigned entrance and reception will feature a floor-to-ceiling mural, maps, notes, and antique photographs to showcase the safari’s history.

A new living and lounge tent will accommodate groups of different sizes, with large brass chandeliers, lanterns, and a brighter colour scheme. The dining area will feature exposed wooden tables, brass decor, black and white photography, and antique frames to reflect the camp’s ‘bygone safari’ theme.
