A new luxury lodge, Kuoom Serengeti, opened in Serengeti, Tanzania, this September. Joel Saura, Kuoom General Manager, revealed that the lodge would begin welcoming guests even while construction continued on another part of the property – expected to be completed within the next three months.

Saura said the lodge introduced a completely new and distinctive concept to the Serengeti, remaining operational year-round. The first phase will comprise ten rooms, each accommodating up to four guests. Two larger VIP twin rooms will be finished in the coming year.

The uniquely designed rooms feature dome structures atop raised platforms, providing vistas over the savannah for observing wildlife. The lodge features a reception area with complimentary WiFi, as well as a pool area with a bar and sundeck, and two infinity pools.

Lodge activities include balloon trips, skydiving, and day and night game drives, with future plans to introduce walking safaris.

Kuoom Serengeti’s location near Robanda is approximately a 40-minute drive from Seronera Airstrip and 15 minutes from Forti Ikoma Airstrip. The airstrips are accessible via direct flights from Arusha, Kilimanjaro, or Zanzibar.
