Swiss-Belhotel International has entered into a management agreement for its second property in Nairobi, reinforcing its footprint in Kenya’s capital. This comes within a month of the signing of Swiss-Belinn Nairobi, in the city.

Situated in Nairobi’s Central Business District, the Nairobi Safari Club will be rebranded as Nairobi Safari Club by Swiss-Belhotel, with the transition set for March 1 next year. Initially, the focus will be to incorporate Swiss-Belhotel International’s standards and branding, with future plans to elevate the property’s offerings.

Established in 1984, Nairobi Safari Club is the city’s sole all-suite hotel, serving as a prominent landmark in the central area. The four-star property offers 146 rooms that include studio, panorama, executive, and presidential suites. The hotel also provides comprehensive conference facilities, including exclusive private rooms on the top floor.

The hotel is owned by Mukawa (Hotels) Holdings Limited. Directors Clare Njeri Githunguri and Lilian Joy Nyagaki Githunguri, said: “Joining forces with Swiss-Belhotel International is not just a business decision, but a commitment to elevating the Nairobi Safari Club experience and setting new hospitality benchmarks. The fusion of our legacy with Swiss-Belhotel International’s global expertise will craft a distinctive hospitality experience for travellers in Nairobi.”

Swiss-Belhotel International’s strategic partnership reinforces its presence on the African continent and aligns with its broader vision to leverage emerging markets with considerable potential.

Gavin M. Faull, Chairman and President of Swiss-Belhotel International, added: “As the tourism industry continues to grow in Africa, we are seeing an increased appetite for our brands from hotel owners in the continent. Our accelerated growth trajectory in Nairobi reflects our confidence in the Kenyan market.
