Dawie Mullins officially assumed the role of Director of Global Sales for Africa at Minor Hotels on January 1. The promotion marks a pivotal moment in Mullins’ career, underscoring his wealth of experience and expertise in the field.

Mullins embarked on his journey in hospitality in 2005, following the completion of a three-year diploma at Tshwane University of Technology. This educational foundation laid the groundwork for a career that has spanned several renowned organisations, including Virgin Limited Edition, Enterprises at the University of Pretoria, Emerald Resort & Casino, Faircity Hotels, and Marriott International.

Throughout his career, Mullins has navigated diverse roles, gaining valuable insights into the intricacies of the hospitality sector. These experiences have not only honed his skills but have also provided a comprehensive understanding of the industry’s nuances.

“I want to grow global sales in Africa for Minor Hotels so that I can eventually appoint more people in the team, because we have so much potential on the continent for outbound travel. My focus will be on outbound travel from the African continent for Minor Hotels to all our beautiful resorts, villas, and hotels around the world. I want to not only achieve my targets but exceed them,” Mullins told Tourism Update.
