With its 43 rooms, a bar, restaurant, gym, sauna bath, meeting hall and a laundry service, Zebidar International Hotel has created job opportunities for more than 80 citizens. .
Built with a capital of 55 million birr in Burayu Town, on the outskirts of Addis Ababa, Zebidar International Hotel was inaugurated on Saturday (May 21).
At the inaugural ceremony, Town Mayor Dhaba Dufisa explained that investment has been growing in the town, thanks to the favourable investment climate created by the incumbent. Whereas the area used to be identified with the killing of innocent people by military order under the previous regime, it has by now become home to more than 200,000 people.
“The public need hotels and other recreational services. Besides creating job opportunities for young people in the town, the Hotel is expected to provide various services to its residents. The town administration will provide continued support to such investors.”
So far, over 500 investors with a registered capital of five billion birr are operating in the town.
