The month of September was a unique and exciting one for the communities in the Dete area, on the border of Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Conservation Music, an organization dedicated to environmental music production workshops stayed at Mambanje Primary School to learn and co-produce a song and music video about the community-based conservation challenges, ethos and efforts in the area.
The month-long workshop was made possible and facilitated through the African Bush Camps Foundation, a registered charity that works to build relationships with communities on the borders of vulnerable wildlife areas within which African Bush Camps operates authentic safari experiences in Zimbabwe, Botswana & Zambia. This music production, made for the community by the community, is envisioned to be a powerful and engaging way to evoke understanding and enthusiasm for the various projects being run in the area with the aim to promote a harmonious lifestyle with the surrounding wildlife and environment.
