Pullman Cape Town City Centre opened in September, Accor’s first property under the exclusive Pullman Hotels & Resorts brand in South Africa.
Kasada, the leading independent real estate private equity platform dedicated to the hospitality industry in Africa, acquired the former Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, which has now been rebranded to Pullman Cape Town City Centre.
The architecturally acclaimed 104-metre-high building has 214 hotel rooms, offering guests views of Table Mountain, the Atlantic Ocean, and Cape Town’s cityscape.
The property is close to Cape Town International Convention Centre and the culinary neighbourhoods in Bree and Long Street, making it ideal for business and leisure travellers.
“The Pullman Cape Town City Centre is poised to amplify the brand’s presence and encapsulate the essence of the city – a fusion of hidden gems, adventurous escapades, and innovative business prospects, beckoning guests from every corner of the world. Cape Town, with its blend of cosmopolitan allure and natural beauty, stands as an irresistible destination for both leisure explorers and business pioneers,” said Paul Stevens, Chief Operating Officer, Premium, Midscale & Economy Division, Middle East, Africa & Turkey at Accor.
The hotel has multiple restaurants to choose from, including fine-dining experiences, lunches, pizzas at the pool bar and terrace, as well as scenic sundowners at its bars.
Intimate gatherings and large-scale events can also be held at its six events and conference facilities.
Olivier Granet, Managing Partner and CEO of Kasada, and David Damiba, Managing Partner and CIO of Kasada, said: “South Africa is a key market for Kasada, and we remain confident of its strength, resilience and attractive future growth potential. This is our second acquisition in Cape Town, further demonstrating our commitment to the region’s hospitality sector and our ability to create and deliver value across segments. We look forward to bringing our expertise as the leading hospitality investor and owner on the continent to revitalise this flagship hotel located in the heart of Cape Town, and to playing our part in enhancing South Africa’s attractiveness as a tourist destination.”
