The best of the best from the world of tourism of Africa and of the Indian Ocean will be in Seychelles for the June 20 World Travel Awards 2015.
“Winners for this award are voted for by travel and tourism professionals worldwide, and this accolade recognizes the commitment to excellence which tourism organizations have demonstrated in the last twelve months,” says Graham E. Cooke, the President and Founder of the World Travel Awards.
Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, has joined Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board; Anne Lafortune, the PS for Tourism; and Benjamine Rose, the PS for Culturem, to say how thrilled they are that the World Travel Awards 2015 for Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands is taking place in Seychelles. “Our islands are more visible today than they have ever been. We have worked hard though our all our contacts and have harnessed our cultural events to ride our PR campaign on, because of the press that comes to Seychelles to cover these events. The largest press group publishing reports on Seychelles is attracted to our islands annually during carnival time. Today, this visibility brings many benefits for the Seychelles and one such direct benefit is hosting the World Travel Awards. When we met and discussed the hosting of the Award Ceremony in Seychelles with Mr. Graham Cooke, the President and Founder of the World Travel Awards, it was a continuation of our efforts to place Seychelles in the forefront and ensure that our islands are seen as leaders in the world of tourism. Today, we express our gratitude to Mr. Cooke for deciding to move the 2015 award ceremony to Seychelles,” said Minister Alain St.Ange.
“As Seychelles gets ready to welcome the best of the best from Africa and from the Indian Ocean Islands, our islands have another exceptional opportunity to showcase Seychelles as the ideal tourism destination. To tell the world we all love Seychelles, we staged a great carnival. On June 20, we patriotic Seychellois have another opportunity to declare our love for Seychelles and invite the rest if the world to fall in love with our beautiful islands as well,” the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture said.
