SAUDIA, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, launched its first direct flight to Dar es Salaam this past weekend.

The airline will be operating four weekly flights between King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The flights are operated with an Airbus A320 on the following schedule:

  • Flight SV463 departs Jeddah Airport (JED) at 01h15 and arrives at Dar es Salaam Airport (DAR) at 06h20.
  • Flight SV462 departs Dar es Salaam Airport (DAR) at 07h25 and arrives at Jeddah (JED) at 12h00.

Arved von zur Muhlen, Chief Commercial Officer of SAUDIA said: “The launch of new direct flights to Dar es Salaam strengthens the relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of Tanzania and will provide a seamless experience for Hajj and Umrah guests from Tanzania.”

SAUDIA currently has a fleet of 142 aircraft, and plans to add more as its route network grows. The airline plans to add 25 new international destinations across three continents.
