Qatar Airways will launch flights from Doha to Kenya’s coastal city of Mombasa on December 9. The flight will operate four times a week and is Qatar’s second Kenyan destination, with the airline currently flying to Nairobi.
Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, said: “Qatar Airways sees Kenya as an important market for our passengers. We are sure our new direct service to Mombasa will prove very popular with tourists interested in exploring Kenya’s beautiful tropical beaches and coastline, as well as immersing themselves in the city’s fascinating diverse cultural mix.”
The route will be operated by an Airbus A320, with 12 business-class and 120 economy-class seats, with a flight time of just over six hours. The flight will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and the schedule is as follows:
- Flight QR1333 will depart Doha at 02h30, arriving in Mombasa at 08h40.
- Flight QR1334 will depart Mombasa at 16h50, arriving in Doha at 23h30.
