Expanding their already outstanding culinary repertoire, JW Marriott has launched Kosher
Kitchen at its upscale lodge in Kenya’s premier wildlife destination.

Partnering with Rabbi Avigdor Bokow, board member Velvy Bokow, kosher supervisor Aharon
Bogatie and their veteran culinary team at Kosher Certified South Africa (KCSA) in
Johannesburg, JW Marriott and Baraka Lodges Ltd identified a pool of mashgichim to create and
certify kosher meals for the lodge.

Container Design Africa Ltd — a Kenya-based company owned by Israeli entrepreneurs Tomer
Gerichter and Rafael Hazan — designed, manufactured, transported and installed the 40-foot
Kosher Kitchen container, the first of its kind in East Africa.

Kosher Kitchen is testament to JW Marriott’s commitment to meeting the unique culinary
preferences and dietary requirements of generational families, friends and other guests. Rooted in
rich traditions and meticulous attention to detail, the new kosher offerings segue perfectly into
the lodge’s overall mission of rejuvenating mind, body and soul.
